Tomatoes with Flavor

Let’s face it, most tomatoes you get in the grocery store are often bland or mealy. Cherry and grape tomatoes tend to have the best flavor but they’re pretty hard to slice and put on a sandwich. I did discovered a little gem that I think you will really like. It’s called the Campari tomato. The Campari tomato is compact in size (a little smaller than a Roma tomato) and weighs about 1-2 ounces. So why is it so good? The Campari tomato is high in sugar and low in acid. Good news! They are also very low calorie. I highly suggest eating them fresh but you could also dehydrate them or cook them. They would be great on a vegetable tray or they could be a great addition to any dish.
