So when I did my first review Discovering the Best Gluten Free, Plant-Based Burger, I didn’t include the 2 most popular brands on the market. The Impossible™ burger and the Beyond Burger®. Since Lightlife™ was my favorite choice in the first round, I was compelled to include it in my second taste test. Below you will see a visual of what the plant-based burgers looked like. This time, I rated them by smell, taste and texture on a scale of 1-5.

And the winner is…
I tasted the Lightlife™ Burger first because that was the one I picked as my favorite in the first round. When I moving on to the Beyond Burger®, I was really surprised by the texture of it. It was so much like a real beef burger but the smell and taste of it was off-putting to me. When I smelled the Impossible™ Burger, I was shocked at how it smelled like real beef. It also had a really good texture to it. The texture was much better than Lightlife™ which didn’t quite resemble the real chew of beef. So due to the smell, taste, texture (and even the visual appeal). I think the Impossible™ Burger is the clear winner. Lightlife™ was a close second. I would purchase both of those again.
